Merch Design Competition

Guidelines:

The online contest is open to individuals and/or groups. Participants are tasked with incorporating sustainable materials and creating a product design or prototype that is based on any Indian museum or gallery collection. The competition guidelines are as follows:

- We are looking for innovative, creative and educational designs that will showcase the uniqueness of India’s museums and cultural heritage. Keeping this in mind, we encourage you to think outside the box! While a product or concept with educational value attached to it would be preferable, it is not necessary.

- The product should also incorporate functionality in its design that enhances the user experience. 

- We encourage you to submit a design that will be an enjoyable experience for all age groups. If you are catering your product to a specific age group, please do mention the same. 

Submission:

- Along with the conclusive product design, you would be required to submit a brief concept note that provides details behind the design, including the inspiration and broad theme behind it. 

- A short statement on how your product will add educational and functional value to the target audience. 

- The design submission should be in digital format. You can choose to either submit a PDF, PPT or a word document on the submission form.

DEADLINE : 15th May’23

Evaluation Criteria:

The submitted designs will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Participants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

- Fulfillment of brief

- Creativity of idea

- Functionality and sustainability of design 

- Appeal to audience 

Reward:

The contest winner(s) will get the chance to see their products come to life as part of the CultreBOX range produced by Cultre!
